In celebration of Imam Ahmad Ali’s appointment as lieutenant, the Muslim community held a ceremony at the Iqra Mosque. Ceremony started with recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat Khuwani.

Imam Ahmad Ali is the imam of a Brooklyn mosque in NYC and has been serving for many years in the Auxiliary Department of the New York Police. Ahmad Ali has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant. The Muslim community cut the cake in celebration.

The event was also attended by Muslim Community and New York Police Department Lieutenant Zaigham Abbas and New York Police Auxiliary Department Chief Saleem Nasir attended the event. Besides a cake cutting a delicious hot meal was also arranged.

The participants appreciated the services of Imam Ahmad Ali and congratulated him for his new post.
