Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member National Assembly Shakur Shad says that if Khan Sahab had been replaced by old people, the country’s economy would have been more worsen that it could not have been handled. While speaking on Voice of South Asia’s program social review, he called Imran Khan the only solution to the problems of Pakistan. He added that if there was someone else on the place of captain or if there were old people, they would not be able to estimate the condition of Pakistan. Commenting on the performance of former government ministers, Shakoor Shad said that those who ran the economy in the past were now living in hiding in London. In early 2018, IMF said that in July, it seems that Pakistan becomes to default. If you want to dialogue, do it now because we will not negotiate with caretaker government. His life was more important to him; and he decided to move London instead of going to jail, which affects the country’s economy.

When Khan Sahab came into power, the first round of talks with the IMF took place in which there were very strict conditions from the IMF. One of the conditions was to bring the dollar to 185 against the rupee, and Allah willing, this was not happened.

Blaming Afghanistan for the current situation, Shakoor Shad said Afghans have a lot of money and there resources are known. I think we’ve had black money businesses from the beginning until today and people have no control over them. There are institutions that aren’t working the way they should be. I’ve been to the FIA and I know lot of things.

Recently, I suggested to Asad Omar that a $ ten thousand limit for foreign travelers, reduced it to $ five thousand because there are still a few vested interests here who only want to make their own money and Playing with the country and this is only the cruelty.

The FIA now has a computerized system. Monitor those peoples who are rapidly travelled foreign either they have such a status to travel frequently. It is important to stop this thing and there is also smuggling. There are also some black sheep involved and money has been going out of the country through boats. The issues are so many critical and cannot say that they will be controlled but Khan Sahab has tried on many places to stop corruption, I have highlighted several times. Khan’s opinion regarding jobs is that merit should be focused and those who are capable should be brought forward but the bureaucracy is playing its game. There are many barriers, even with reference to FBR Job’s, it was found in Karachi that jobs have been given against money. None of our MNAs and MPAs name has come forward; there is disciplinary control in the party. It will take time to rectify such a corrupt system.

Despite being a senior politician, Shakoor Shad did not have any post or ministry and said that party politics is everywhere. Some people thought that if these people came forward, we would be left behind and have no value.

Imran Khan may not be aware of our merits. In the beginning we kept ourselves neutral. Then we were forced to form a group together with Karachi based MNA’s which became known as G7. But later we saw that a person who wants to take the country forward, if we put pressure on that person, it would not be right to do so. While in response to a question, Shakoor Shad replied that yesterday there was great respect for Bhutto and today there is great respect for BB and this respect will last forever. But after 2008, the current PPP may not have needed us, so when we were walled off, we repeatedly reminded the leadership even before we left the party that if they don’t need us, let us informed but there was no answer. Political worker needs space, so we parted.

I thank Allah and people of my constituency, and the people of Lyari for my historic victory in 2018 general elections. In my view the biggest upset in 2018 elections has been occurred at NA-246 where the party chairman was contesting and on the other side there were dignitaries of different political parties. By the grace of Allah, we won by a huge margin and I hope that the way we are working, this margin will increase further.

Maybe Bilawal had no idea who his opponent was, I had sent him a message through my friends that it is not suitable for you to contest elections from this constituency, but maybe he underestimated things.

In fact, people of Lyari have suffered most. What happened in different periods between 2008 and 2018 was a series of gang wars. In the evening, our roads were deserted. Hundreds of young people were killed. It turned out that some were sinners and some very innocent were killed on a large scale and this was inevitably the result of the same reaction

While speaking on the program, Shakoor Shad said that he wanted to travel and explore the world, and heard that America is a superpower. There were invitations from friends and used to say why don’t you come. There are also programs planned in different cities of US. The echo of my success has gone far away, so meeting with friends in other cities will be a part of this visit.

In 1963, President Ayub Khan reportedly summoned Murat-Khan to his office and took out a fountain pen from his pocket, placed it upright on his desk, and instructed Murat-Khan to “build me a monument like this.

Minar-e-Pakistan was designed by him and he oversaw the construction free of charge. Murat-Khan was very keen on the supervision of the construction and the design. He frequently visited the site to inspect building material, construction quality. He did not take his prescribed fee of Rs. 250,000 and instead donated the amount to the fund created for financing the construction of the Minar-e-Pakistan

The Israeli occupation’s Jerusalem Municipality demolished one of the oldest Muslim graveyards in the occupied holy city, reported Wafa news agency.

The head of the Committee for the Preservation of Islamic Cemeteries in Jerusalem, Mustafa Abu Zahra, said the Jerusalem Municipality’s teams, accompanied by a bulldozer, destroyed a grave from the Al Yousifieh Cemetery and scattered the bones. He added that among the graves demolished were those of Muslims who were martyred in the conflicts between 1948 and 1967 and that Israel will face legal action in response to the municipality’s actions.

Abu Zahra called on all Jerusalemites to “unite in order to protect Jerusalem’s landmarks from the Israeli occupation’s oppression”.

According to Wafa, Palestinians who were present in the area blocked the bulldozer from destroying the graves further and forced them out of the area.

In an interview, the executive director of the Commission for the Protection of Muslim Graves, Ahmed al-Dajani, explained to Anadolu Agency that the Israeli courts have officially granted permission to the Israeli Archeology Directorate to work on a site close to the graveyard.

The cemetery, located next to the wall surrounding the Old City, is one of the oldest Muslim graveyards in occupied Jerusalem and is about 4,000 square meters.

The demolition is part of the Israeli occupation authorities plan to build a “Biblical garden path” inside the cemetery which contains the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, as well as many ancient and modern graves. It’s a step that has angered many residents of East Jerusalem who have loved ones buried in that cemetery.
