A one-minute-long video has been gathering a lot of traction on social media. The clip features an elderly couple who is seen pleading with a man and a woman and begging at their feet. After some time, the younger man and woman leave the scene. While sharing this video, it is being claimed that the younger woman, who was from Gujarat, married a ‘Jihadi’ i.e. a Muslim. And her parents were pleading with her with folded hands. Twitter user Praveen Singh shared this video with a similar claim. It has garnered 2,897 retweets at the time of writing. To gather more information about the video, Alt News performed a keyword search in Gujarati. We found a news report dated June 5, 2023 by Gujarati news outlet Gujarat Tak. According to the outlet, a girl eloped with her own elder brother’s brother-in-law and got married to him in the Raiya village of Banaskantha, Gujarat. Her parents had actually fixed the girl’s marriage with their younger son’s brother-in-law.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
