As the nation mourns the loss of Daunte Wright, we stand with&nbsp; his family, Brooklyn Center community, and activists to protest yet another injustice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Minnesota, the Twin Cities, and across the country, we see time and time again that, worse than failing to keep Black people safe, they regularly kill Black people without the expectation of recourse. Already the police chief is protecting a murderer, wanting us to accept that this murder was an accident without any accountability for the clearly racist attack on an innocent Black man. However, enough is enough; Right now, Color Of Change is calling for the Brooklyn Center Police Chief <a href=\"https:\/\/act.colorofchange.org\/sign\/enough_is_enough\/\">to fire the officers<\/a> and to release the bodycam footage of the officers involved immediately. In the long term, we\u2019re calling for policy changes that directly address systemic injustices and the double-standard that protects the police over the victim.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDaunte was murdered just 10 miles away from Downtown Minneapolis, where Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer, is currently on trial for the murder of George Floyd. Once again, a minor infraction presenting no threat to public safety has ended in a senseless murder at the hands of Minnesota police.
