While restoration of the federal Voting Rights Act languishes in a split Congress, an already deep divide in Americans\u2019 access to voting has widened over the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In part, that\u2019s because blue states aren\u2019t waiting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an analysis by the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law, more bills expanding access to voting were introduced this year than any in the past decade \u2014 606 overall, at least one in every state legislature in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
