It\u2019s impossible to ignore the effects of our actions on the environment. According to NASA<\/a>, we\u2019re dealing with rising global temperatures, warming oceans, glacial retreat, and many other environmental concerns that will have a lasting negative impact on our planet.<\/p>\n

Because of this, more companies are taking the initiative to be more sustainable and reduce their carbon footprints. As consumers, getting on board with those companies can make a big difference.<\/p>\n

Doing so requires an understanding of which kinds of companies and brands you should be supporting, and why that support can ultimately make a difference in our environmental future.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, let\u2019s look at some of the industries with the largest carbon footprint, and how you can support the right businesses within those sectors.<\/p>\n

Travel and Transportation<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s estimated that greenhouse gas emissions from transportation make up about 28% of all emissions in the U.S<\/a>. Unfortunately, that\u2019s also a number that continues to rise.<\/p>\n
