On March 21st, 2021, an alliance of peace organizations presented the \u201cCold War Truth Commission,\u201d a day of online lectures and discussion about the origins of the Cold War, and the millions of human lives it took, mainly from US invasions and proxy wars. Sponsoring organizations included Witness for Peace Southwest, School of the Americas Watch, Code Pink, KPFK Radio, Project Censored, and more. This week’s Project Censored Show presents Part 2 of our selections from that ten-hour event.<\/p>\n

\nMedea Benjamin co-founded the organizations Code Pink and Global Exchange. Her books include “Inside Iran” and “Kingdom of the Unjust.” Eric Mann is Director of the Labor-Community Strategy Center in Los Angeles, co-chair of the L.A. Bus Riders’ Union, and the author of “Playbook for Progressives.” Marcy Winograd is Coordinator of Code Pink Congress and a retired school teacher. Mickey Huff teaches History and Journalism at Diablo Valley College in northern California; he’s also the Director of Project Censored and the host of the Project Censored Show. Jeff Cohen is founder of the media-watch group FAIR, and co-founder of RootsAction.org. <\/a>Rachel Brunke (Witness for Peace Southwest) and Frank Dorrel (Veterans\u00a0 or Peace) were the hosts of the event.<\/p>\n
