Unless McCarthy is headed to Florida to transport Trump back to Capitol Hill for his trial, this is definitely another indication that \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/01\/26\/kevin-mccarthy-donald-trump-462445\"  rel=\"noopener\">my Kevin<\/a>\u201d is going to continue to support the twice-impeached Inciter-in-Chief.<\/p>\n<p>The other indications? Kevin McCarthy has been&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2021\/01\/25\/after-objecting-election-results-kevin-mccarthy-says-all-americans-bear-responsibility-deadly-capitol-riot\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">blame-spreading<\/a>&nbsp;since the day of the attack on the Capitol. Sure he said Trump \u201cbears responsibility,\u201d but every other word out of his mouth is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/kevin-mccarthy-everybody-capitol-attack_n_600b9785c5b6f401aea48948?ncid=engmodushpmg00000006\"  rel=\"noopener\">blaming everyone else<\/a>, including the police. He sure doesn\u2019t sound like a law and order Republican \u2014 more like a ranking lieutenant in a twisted cult.<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy is solidifying his standing as Trump\u2019s chief defender in Congress while Republicans are acting as if the violent attack on the Capitol didn\u2019t ever happen.
