Empowering girls in Africa can put them on the fast track to achieve their\u00a0aspirations and\u00a0basic\u00a0rights to which they\u2019re entitled, but too often denied.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
That\u2019s according to the\u00a0UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed, who is\u00a0on a two-week solidarity visit to West Africa and the Sahel to underscore the United Nations\u2019 support\u00a0for the region, during the on-going COVID-19<\/a> pandemic.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
