During his tenure as Exxon CEO, <a href=\"https:\/\/350communications.cmail19.com\/t\/t-l-xkhyka-autddlkti-r\/\">Raymond spearheaded the corporation\u2019s efforts to bury climate science<\/a> and sow doubt and deception about fossil fuels causing climate disasters.<\/p>\n<p>On this news, <strong>Richard Brooks, <a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\">350.org<\/a> Senior Campaign Strategist<\/strong>,&nbsp;said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div id=\"block-inject-16\" class=\"block-inject block-inject-16\">\n<div id=\"block-block-86\" class=\"block block--block block--block-86\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cClimate denier mastermind and former Exxon CEO Lee Raymond fleeing the JPMorgan Chase Board is a sign of the changing winds of financial institutions taking climate action seriously. Make no mistake, Raymond quitting is a direct result of pressure from shareholder champions like <a href=\"https:\/\/350communications.cmail19.com\/t\/t-l-xkhyka-autddlkti-y\/\">New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/350communications.cmail19.com\/t\/t-l-xkhyka-autddlkti-j\/\">climate activists<\/a> with the Stop The Money Pipeline coalition.
