But he and a colleague were removed when someone complained his colleague\u2019s mask \u201cwas not high enough\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Khan spoke of being \u201cdisgusted\u201d by the incident:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"OSHQ\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Disgusted to be banned by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AmericanAir?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AmericanAir<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/traveloneworld?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@traveloneworld<\/a> for not been able to fly to training camp, i got escorted by police off the plane for no reason. I would like to see evidence for any wrong doings! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AAteam?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AAteam<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Notallterrorists?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Notallterrorists<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/dL3UfFcYYl\">pic.twitter.com\/dL3UfFcYYl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Amir Khan (@amirkingkhan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/amirkingkhan\/status\/1439297699954806789?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 18, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- EMBED END Twitter --><\/p>\n<h5>&#8216;Disgusting and disrespectful&#8217;<\/h5>\n<p>Khan said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I was taken off the plane today when I was going to training camp to Colorado Springs by the police.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: inherit; color: #000000;\">Obviously a complaint was made by American Airlines staff, they said that my colleague\u2019s mask was not high enough and not up, that they had to stop the plane and take me and my friend off when I did nothing wrong.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The former world champion said the incident had thrown off his plans and was &#8220;really upsetting&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: inherit; color: #000000;\">They kicked us both off, I was sat on 1A, he was sat on 1B \u2013 I find it so disgusting and disrespectful, I was supposed to go to Colorado springs for a training camp and now I\u2019m back in New York for another day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: inherit; color: #000000;\">Now I have to reschedule another airplane to travel back to training camp which is really upsetting, for no reason this was and I\u2019m just so disgusted that American Airlines would do this to us and ban me from travelling.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: inherit; color: #000000;\">I\u2019m sure there must be cameras on the airplane that they could see, or someone should see, to see that if my colleague really was bad in anyway or caused a scene in a way where he had to be taken off the plane \u2013 I\u2019ve never seen this happen before.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Khan is Muslim and of Pakistani origin.
