The Black Alliance for Peace's Africa Team and the\u00a0U.S. Out of Africa Network\u00a0are organizing an international month of action to raise the public's awareness as a contribution to the effort to\u00a0build a popular movement for demilitarization and anti-imperialism\u00a0on the African continent. This month\u2019s events will focus on raising the public's awareness about the use of western military power to impose western control of African land, resources, and labor on behalf of the world\u2019s corporations.<\/p>\n
AFRICOM continues to militarily\u00a0occupy Africa, with thousands of U.S. troops now stationed in some\u00a030 African countries\u00a0with dozens of U.S. bases across the continent, while it carries out bombings in places like Somalia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
