Three years after being appointed by the Secretary-General, the Force Commander for the\u00a0UN\u00a0Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA<\/a>)\u00a0ended his tour\u00a0of duty just a few days ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n Lieutenant General Dennis\u00a0Gyllenspore, from Sweden, led over 13,000 women and men, often\u00a0in\u00a0challenging conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n Among the difficult tasks he faced were\u00a0securing\u00a0the north and the centre of the country,\u00a0supporting\u00a0the\u00a0implementation of the Peace Agreement,\u00a0and\u00a0enforcing\u00a0the disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration of former combatants.\u00a0<\/p>\n As he shares in this interview with\u00a0Nadege Digne\u00a0Sinarinzi, from\u00a0Mikado FM, he leaves with a sense of accomplishment\u00a0and\u00a0proud of the partnerships made.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
