This week, he pressed a mob to overturn the results of a free and fair democratic election, inciting his supporters to storm the Capitol, where they engaged in domestic terrorism. The criminals assaulted and killed law enforcement officers and threatened members of Congress while looting and vandalizing the seat of democracy in our country.<\/p>\n<div id=\"block-inject-17\" class=\"block-inject block-inject-17\">\n<div id=\"block-block-86\" class=\"block block--block block--block-86\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Having incited this insurrection, Trump refused to act to end it, and lives were needlessly lost.<\/p>\n<p>The 25th Amendment and the impeachment powers of Congress are designed to address the extraordinary threat posed by this president.
