Kushner claims to have orchestrated &#8220;a true turning point in history&#8221; when &#8220;five Muslim-majority countries \u2014 the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kosovo, Morocco and Sudan \u2014 signed peace agreements with Israel.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to Kushner, whose agenda seemed to be dictated from the start by <a href=\"https:\/\/theintercept.com\/2017\/06\/21\/jared-kushners-pursuit-middle-east-peace-looks-lot-like-total-surrender-israel\/\">his old family friend, Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a>, the agreements he brokered with nations that were never central to the conflict &#8220;have the potential to bring about the complete end of the Arab-Israeli conflict that has existed ever since the founding of the State of Israel.&#8221;<\/p>\n<!-- BLOCK(cta)[1](%7B%22componentName%22%3A%22CTA%22%2C%22entityType%22%3A%22SHORTCODE%22%2C%22optional%22%3Atrue%7D)(%7B%7D) --><!-- END-BLOCK(cta)[1] -->\n<p>Despite Kushner&#8217;s inflated claims, it was clear from the start that there was little public support in the Arab world for any nation to make peace with Israel while millions of Palestinians still live under Israeli military rule.<\/p>\n<p>Survey data from 2020, when Morocco agreed to sign the deal \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2020\/12\/14\/trumps-parting-gift-morocco\/\">in exchange for<\/a> the Trump administration recognizing the kingdom&#8217;s sovereignty over the former Spanish colony of Western Sahara \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moroccoworldnews.com\/2020\/10\/322016\/survey-88-of-moroccans-reject-diplomatic-recognition-of-israel\">showed<\/a> that 88 percent of Moroccans rejected diplomatic recognition of Israel. Kosovo, which is in the Balkans and not the Middle East, is a former province of Serbia where ethnic Albanian Muslims make up a majority.
