Every minute poses a struggle for survival for them as many wander through the rubble while contending with untreated injuries and bone-chilling cold.<\/p>\n<p>Rescue teams are on the ground in Turkey, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/headlines.peta.org\/peta-global-compassion-fund\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">PETA\u2019s Global Compassion Fund<\/a> <\/strong>(GCF) is providing financial support. Partner organization Vegan Derne\u011fi T\u00fcrkiye is distributing dog and cat food, rescue crates, leashes, and other urgently needed supplies through a network of local groups that are caring for animals in some of the most devastated areas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/peta-global-compassion-fund-logo.png.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1054960\" src=\"https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/peta-global-compassion-fund-logo.png.jpg\" alt=\"peta global compassion fund logo\" width=\"1024\" height=\"555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/peta-global-compassion-fund-logo.png.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/peta-global-compassion-fund-logo.png-300x163.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/peta-global-compassion-fund-logo.png-602x326.jpg 602w, https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/peta-global-compassion-fund-logo.png-768x416.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/peta-global-compassion-fund-logo.png-150x81.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This latest crisis comes as PETA Germany and its partners in Ukraine are still actively <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peta.org\/blog\/peta-germany-helps-ukraine-animals\/\">helping abandoned and injured animals<\/a> on the front lines of the war there, providing them with food and veterinary care.
