BIHR has led a joint submission to an inquiry on the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). 14 organisations joined voices to raise concerns about the current DoLS system, in particular that it is not achieving it's aim of ensuring people are only deprived of their liberty in a way that is respectful of their human rights: The aim of DoLS is to protect human rights by ensuring that no one is arbitrarily deprived of their liberty in the context of health and social care arrangements.
