Amid the news of the virus, the media tries to offer hope when reporting the latest vaccine developments. But we are still early in the process, with no guarantee of success. That means the big news may not be in the discovery of a cure, but in the near elimination of animal testing as the vaccines are raced to human trials. PETA Science Advisor Jeffrey Brown says sparing animals in wasteful tests may be the most significant breakthrough for now.
