A protest took place in the British city of Bristol in which protesters attacked and injured police officers, damaging property and setting vehicles on fire.
The protest was against scores of laws introduced in parliament, including giving more power to police and banning demonstrations at public places.
20 policemen injured in clashes with protesters, two of them were in serious condition, police have arrested seven people. Demonstrators surrounded the police station and hurled fireworks at police.
Bristol’s police chief says CCTV footage will be released and, with the public cooperation, the culprits will be brought to justice.
