Former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Raja Farooq Haider said India has been turning the Kashmir issue into a religious matter, while it is by no means a religious issue. India and west have mutual economy interest, That’s why international community is remained silence over India aggression in occupied kashmir, he was addressing as chief guest to a town hall conference on titled “Kashmir Issue Resolution, Key to Peace in South Asia”, organized by American Institute of Politics and Public Policy in Dallas.
Member of the American Institute of Politics and Public Policy, Mubashir Warraich moderated the conference and introduced guest to the audience. The conference was also attended by Abid Malik, President of PSNT-Pakistan Society of North Texas, and a large number of political, social and other dignitaries from Dallas and surrounding areas. The dignitaries of Sikh community were also part of the conference.
Earlier, Raja Farooq Haider said in his speech that Indian aggression in Occupied Kashmir is increasing and inhumane atrocities on unarmed Kashmiris are not being condemned by the international community.
“Pakistanis and Kashmiris living in the US can play a role to convey their message to the US House of Representatives through their elected representatives, he added.
He argued that Kashmiris should be given the right of self-determination because Pakistani and Indian have no right to decide the future of Kashmir.

Sukhwinder Singh also addressed to the Conference.
Texas House Representative Terry Meza condemned the human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir, she admitted that Muslim community has been supporting her since she joined politics. Muslim voters have played a significant role in my constituency that is why we passed a bill in the Texas House for both Eid holidays. After which the state of Texas has also announced a public holiday on both Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
Texas House Representative Jasmine Crockett says we must unite and speak out against oppression, whether it is in US or in any part of the world. In US, George Floyd is not only the name of an individual, but a struggle against oppression. Being a minority does not necessarily mean that one should not speak out against oppression. If all minorities unite, they can become an invincible force. The Muslim community in Texas is an excellent and conscientious community
Dr. Naveed Claire, Key Member of the American Institute of Politics and Public Policy, highlighted the Kashmir issue and offered suggestions for its solution. Dr. Claire reiterated his commitment to the American Institute of Politics and Public Policy in this regard that it will play its full role for Kashmir peace full solution.
Sikh community leader Sukhwinder Singh said in his speech that we should support each other; unity is the best weapon and strength.
