Today the Joint Committee on Human Rights in UK Parliament has been sent an important letter telling them about problems with the UK Government's consultation on the Human Rights Act. The letter has been signed by more than 200 people and organisations. These are people with learning disabilities and other communication needs, and the organisations that support them and their rights. In the letter, people say the consultation on the Human Rights Act is important to them and they want to tell the Government what they think. But, they are not happy because the Government has not made any translations of the consultation, like BSL or Easy Read, which would help them to take part.
