A crowd of around 30 unionists gathered outside Liberal National MP Warren Entsch office in Cairns to call for better wages and conditions for workers, an end to insecure work and for a change in government.
Australian Council of Trade Unions President Michelle O'Neill told the rally that 1 in 3 workers are in insecure jobs. "Under the Scott Morrison government, working peoples wages went back $800 ... and at the same time, the cost of living has skyrocketed," she said.
