The Tigrayan community of Sydney rallied and marched through the city on April 30 to call for Australian and international solidarity in the face of the ongoing genocidal attacks from the Ethiopian and allied Eritrean and Amhara armed forces since November 4, 2020. The protesters warned that 5 million Tigrayans at at risk of dying from "weaponised starvation", more than 120,000 women have suffered sexual violence and about 500,000 civilians have been killed.
