New York: Various organizations of the Pakistani American community gathered at one platform to help the flood victims in Pakistan, in New York.
The Pakistani community has appealed to the American government and citizens to support Pakistan in this difficult time.
Yvette Clark, a member of the United States House of Representatives from New York’s Congressional District 9, and Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso gathered various organizations of the Pakistani American community at the Brooklyn Borough Hall for the rehabilitation of the victims of the recent flood disasters in Pakistan.
They assured them that our sympathies are with the people of Pakistan in this difficult time, we will help the flood victims in all possible ways.
New York City Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams and Deputy Public Advocate Kashif Hussain also participated in the press conference.
They said that at this time the whole world is facing the challenges of climate change and its effects have affected Pakistan a lot.
It is not easy to restore the victims in the disaster that the flood has caused.
On this occasion, New York Police Muslim Officers Society President Deputy Inspector Adeel Rana, Pakistani American Law Enforcement Society President Rohail Khalid and COPO President Muhammad Rizvi appealed to the entire American community that the flood victims have a lot of hope from us.
Everyone should help the victims of this calamity.
Heads of women’s representative organizations also participated in the press conference.
CEO of APNA Community Center Erum Hanif, Head of American Council of Minority Women Bazah Roohi and Chairperson of Pakistani American Skilled Women Atiya Shahnaz said that all elected American members should raise their voice for the flood victims.
