Several social media users have shared a photograph where actress Sana Khan is seen with her husband, Surat-based businessman Mufti Anas Saiyad. The Hindi text below this photograph says, ‘Sana Khan got pregnant and will soon be a mother. The husband was offering prayers at Ajmer for the last 2 years. Got pregnant just by offering prayers and not through sexual intercourse.’
Binay Pratap Shahi, whose Twitter bio describes him as the former vice-president of BJP Delhi (sports cell), tweeted this image and tagged Jagran News asking them if this was actually true. The tweet was later deleted. The screenshot of the same can be seen here:
Several other users shared this image with similar captions mocking Sana Khan and her husband. They include @seriousfunnyguy, @Dr_RizwanAhmed, and others. All of these tweets are now deleted. Screenshots can be seen here:

By simply reverse-searching the viral image, Alt News came across the actual image that was posted on Dainik Jagran‘s official Instagram handle, on March 16, 2023. The text on the image says, “सना खान के घर जल्द गूंजेगी किलकारी, इंटरव्यू में किया प्रेग्नेंसी का खुलासा” (Sana Khan’s house will soon be echoed with child’s squeal, revealed pregnancy in latest interview)

The caption in Jagran’s post is in Hindi. It says, ‘Leaving the Bollywood industry forever, actress Sana Khan has chosen the path of Allah. In the year 2020, she announced this on social media. After this, she married Mufti Anas Saiyad. After three years of marriage, this couple has given good news to the fans. In an interview, the couple revealed that they are going to be parents soon.’
The actor herself announced her pregnancy on social media, on March 18, 2023. Several media outlets, including The Times of India, reported on the very same day.
To sum up, the claim that Sana Khan became pregnant as a result of her husband’s prayers is preposterous and untrue. The actual caption of the viral image says something else. It has been morphed and the caption has been changed.
